Kattie has always had a tender place in her heart for children. During a season of praying for help in feeling equipped for the spiritual formation of her own children, she felt the Lord calling her to serve with some of Grace’s youngest members. As she sought out resources, the Lord brought Catechesis of the Good Shepherd into her view. She began to learn as much as she could about its presentation of God’s word and the life of the church to children through hands on learning. She has since had the joy of being certified as a Level I catechist and continues to be formed alongside the children of Grace each week. She married her sweet husband, Steven, in 2007 and they have four children: Evelyn, Norah, Jane, and Ansel. She is a full-time homemaker and in her margins she enjoys gardening, writing/recording music, and exercising.
